HISTORY OF WINFIELD DEVELOPMENT
Even in the beginning, Dick-Con Corporation was a family business, brothers and their wives working together. Starting as Tuthill Masonry in San Diego and Orange Counties building fireplaces, walls and block buildings, Dick Tuthill soon expanded to apartments, eight-plexes and developments.
By the late 1980's, interest rates were low and Southern California real estate was booming. By then, Dick's sons were taking their places in the corporation, starting as laborers, masons, carpenters, heavy equipment operators, and then supervisors. They learned each aspect of the business as Wildflower Homes were being developed from the grading, the roads, the utiliities...into the beautiful homes to be seen today.
Though the Senior Tuthill died in September 2002, Winfield Development has kept the legacy of quality, comfort, style and service alive. The expertise and experience that makes each Wildflower development unique is evident in the awards and honors that accompany this name.
We are proud of our accomplishments and we hope that we can be of service to you and your family in one of the most important aspects of your life: your home.
